The season five finale of True Bloodleft us begging for more answers and trying to erase the image of “Billith” emerging from the pool of blood. What will become of Bill? Who is Warlow, and are the Stackhouse’s in danger?

Lauren Bowles, who plays Holly, reveals to Entertainment Weekly that viewers should expect a lot of blood and a major death on the upcoming season.

When asked about what this season had in store in terms of a “bloody season,” Bowles said, “It is quite literally a blood bath and everyone is literally running for their lives. It was the terrifying thing this year getting each script and going ‘Oh god, who’s going to go?’ They really, I think, get a little Game of Thrones-y this year with who’s going and it’s certainly not going to be a boring ride.”

This season will also be extremely character heavy. Expect to see new faces as well as returning faces. TV Guide says that both Courtney Ford will be returning to play Portia Bellefleur, the great-great-great-great granddaughter of Bill. Anna Camp will also be returning as Sarah Newlin, the ex-wife of Steve Newlin and a passionate vampire hunter.

Rumors have been afloat that there will be one major death this season, and it looks like those rumors have been confirmed. Bowles says on the major death, “It completely surprised me. There’s not much to say other than it’s completely heartbreaking. But I really will say it’s one of those that I cried when I read it. I think it’s safe to say that it’s not Sookie but other than that, it really could be anyone and it is so beautifully done. So it really is heartbreaking.”

Catch the season six premiere of HBO’s True Blood tonight, June 16, at 9 EST.
