Rapper, 2 Chainz was robbed at gunpoint this weekend and the suspect is still at large.
The San Francisco Police Department tells TMZ that police were responding to a call of gunshots fired. Upon arriving to the scene, Chainz told the police that his wallet was stolen and that he didn’t want any help from them, explaining that he wanted to resolve the situation himself.
The police have since reviewed video of the incident which shows 2 Chainz and 14 others of his entourage being approached. When the unidentified suspect pulled out the gun his entourage "ran away from the incident like cockroaches running from a flashlight."
The SFPD note that Chainz was clearly the target.
According to Rap-Up, despite being robbed at gunpoint, the rapper still kept his commitments and performed at KMEL’s Summer Jam in Oakland.
The incident is still under investigation.
The last time Chainz ran into the police was back in May when he was arrested for attempting to carry brass knuckles onto an airplane.
