Auditions continue in Chicago in search of America’s next talented act. We start off with a strong act named Omega Force Strength Team. They are all older men and their act is their strength. They’re oldest member is 75 years old. He benched press 300 pound giant barrel squat. Then another guy slams his elbow through 42 blocks of concrete. They bring up Nick Cannon, and one guy bench presses his whole weight. Howard said they inspire people to realize they can do anything they would have never imagined they could have done. Mel B said it’s entertaining and that it’s a family show. Howie was not too convinced so he said No, but the rest of the judges said yes. I thought it was entertaining and that it showed almost like an old school headliner where it says something around the lines of the strongest men on earth. They are off to Vegas!
The next act is the most adorable little girl and her name is Darby. She is 5 and her coach is probably in his 30’s. He taught her some cheer leading and then started doing stunting. Turns out she flips, and raises her legs just as professional cheerleaders do and her coach flips her around and catches her. It looks like he’s throwing a rag doll around because of how small she is. It’s amazing and the judges loved it so they send them to Vegas!
Following Darby is a unique man named Kenichi Ebina. His act is a dance ish performance. So off the bat we think this is going to be bad. However, it turned out to be really cool. He mixes martial arts with hip hop, and robotic moves. He does it so well it looks as if someone is pushing a button somewhere and he’s just doing what they say. Heidi thought it was awesome and he has an incredible control over his body. Mel B said he was off the chain. Howard said he could watch him all day. Howie said it’s the best dance he has ever seen in Chicago. He is sent straight to Vegas!
Deanna DallaCioppa is next on stage and she is a singer. Before we get to her performance we learn a little about her. She has never had the confidence to peruse her dream which is to sing. Her weight has always been an issue so this is her opportunity to show everyone what she is all about. She has such an empowering voice. Howard said he felt her emotion and that’s what he looks for in singers. Howie said her life will change from now on. She gets four yeses and Howard welcomes her to America’s Got Talent.
The Sprice is a 19 year old shy student. His act is about chain reactions. He sets up in the lobby and has been for three days. He asks Nick Cannon to do the honor of starting the domino effect. His act is very intricate and looks like a lot of work. Mel B found it very unique and creative. Howie loved it. He gets his yeses and they send him to Vegas.
Next up is a petite woman named Rong Niu. She has a unicycle bowl juggling act. She starts off in a very tall unicycle, then Nick hands her a couple of bowls. She juggles it on her foot and then flips it to land on her head. Then Nick hands her more, and more and MORE! She does them all, the crowd goes crazy. The judges all stand up because they are so anxious she will fall or break the bowls. Howie tells her she’s beautiful, talented, and thanks her for being here. Howard told her she is fearless and fantastic. They all love her and cannot wait to see her in Vegas!
The last act is the American Military Spousal Choir. There are about 25 ladies and they are all married to men in the military. They started to do this because studies have shown that soldiers suffering from post traumatic disorder and listen to music have a better chance of getting well sooner. At first I thought this was going to be boring. But I was pleasantly wrong, they did a little melody and these ladies are very talented. The choir twist to the music they sag was refreshing. Mel B said they have lifted everyone’s spirits. Heidi was a little teary eyed. They all said yes to Vegas!
The Vegas lineup is starting to look very promising! However we still have a few more auditions underway.
