Annabel Tollman, one of Hollywood’s most powerful stylists, died suddenly at the age of 36.
Tollman, one of The Hollywood Reporter’s 25 Most Powerful Stylists, worked with celebrities such as Scarlett Johansson, Liv Tyler, and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and served as fashion director of Interview Magazine .
According to The Hollywood Reporter , Tollman died as the result of a blood clot. Friends of the stylist have expressed their grief at her unexpected passing.
"I will miss her friendship deeply,” Johansson said. “She touched all of those that knew her with a warmth, intelligence, thoughtfulness, beauty and grace."
"Annabel was one of those people that just made life better," said Andrew Safir, founder of film marketing firm The Cinema Society. "Every party, every dinner, every gathering was better when she was in the mix. Funny, gorgeous, stylish (obviously), and so much fun, with a knowing and charming and sometimes naughty twinkle in her eyes. Every fashion party and glittery gathering will now be missing her special spark."
Tollman was born in Brussels and grew up spending time in New York and England. Her fashion career began at Interview Magazine , which lead her to form relationships, and later style, her famous clients. Tollman also provided commentary on the fashion world in a guest blog via The Huffington Post. In her most recent, and final, post , Tollman declares, “I do not believe in trends.”
The Huffington Post reports that at the time of her death, Tollman was in development with Bravo for her own television show.
