Former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson landed himself in jail Monday just mere moments before receiving a plea deal for violating his probation. Instead, Johnson made a mockery of the judge and she has since ordered him to jail.
Johnson stood before a Browand County, FL. judge after violating his probation following a domestic dispute with now ex-wife Evelyn Lozada. According to TMZ, the judge was well on her way of ruling in terms favorable to Johnson via a plea deal.
The judge asked if Johnson was pleased with his attorney to which he then playfully smacked his lawyer’s bottom and smiled. The court found the incident amusing, but the judge felt otherwise.
The judge then asked if Johnson found his court hearing to be a joke to which Johnson replied, "I had no intent to make this a joke, because my life is in shambles right now."
He was then kicked out of the courtroom and has since been ordered to serve 30 days in jail. The former Miami Dolphins wide receiver is currently being booked.
The incident can be seen in the video below.
