Channing Tatum reveals that the reason he and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum released the first picture of their daughter Everly themselves, was to avoid the paparazzi stalking out the first picture of the newborn.

The White House Down actor says they didn’t want to go the route of selling photos, and they also wanted to control the release of the first shot of her. As a result, they posted a picture of her on Facebook with the caption “First Father’s Day with my girls!”

While promoting his new film with co-star Jamie Foxx, Tatum, 33, said they wanted to make sure "stalking photographers" couldn’t get the first picture.

“We have paparazzi out in front of everything trying to get the first picture," he said, Fox News reports. "And we didn't want to sell it."

“We just wanted to let the fans and whoever wanted to see it, and that's it."

Dewan-Tatum gave birth to baby Everly in London on May 31.
