Chris Brown is desperate to avoid alleged hit-and-run charges, blowing up his twitter with claims of innocence in his defense.

According to TMZ , the troubled rapper has been charged with 2 criminal offenses involving an accident the rapper had with a Mercedes last month. Brown allegedly rear-ended the black car and then refused to provide his driver’s license and insurance information.

Brown’s arraignment is set for July 15, and, according to E! News , the “Don’t Think They Know” singer could be in for serious legal trouble, including a $1,000 fine for each offense and up to six months in jail.

The district attorney of Los Angeles has been notified of the charges against Breezy, which could count as violation for his probation in the Rihanna assault case. When asked to comment, a spokes person for the DA said, "When we do receive them, we will consider them," of the charges.

Meanwhile, Brown has taken to his Twitter account, broadcasting his innocence to nearly 13 million followers.

"It's not a hit and run if u get out the car, exchange information (who has NO DAMAGE to either cars). This is really ridiculous," he tweeted, followed by several more angry tweets about the allegations.

"I have a valid drivers license and I gave the woman the right info. She saw cameras and wanted to make a scene," Brown said, before accusing the woman of extortion. "She contacted the cops thinking of a payday from Chris Brown when I followed the proper procedures."

Brown concluded his rant by announcing he was posting photos from the scene of the accident to his Twitter account, using them as his profile photo and banner.

"My profile pic is the pic I took of the persons car after 'the hit and run,’” Brown wrote. “NO damage. Just a dirty car.once again, I gotta clear my name."
