Singer Ciara was served with legal documents in the middle of her performance Saturday night for L.A. Pride Festival.
TMZ reports that the singer is being sued by The Factory after the “Like a Boy” singer backed out of her scheduled appearance at the club. Her management maintains that they informed the club of her unfortunate absence, but the club continued to promote her attendance anyhow.
A woman appearing as a concertgoer made her way to the front of the crowd and handed Ciara the legal documents, Gossip Cop reports. Upon realizing what she was handed, the 27-year-old threw them back into the crowd. “She got served,” the woman reportedly said smiling.
According to Perez Hilton, Ciara is being sued for $10,000 which includes the money she would have been paid in addition to the money the club lost out due to her failure to appear.
A rep for Ciara has not responded for comment, but sources state that Ciara never official signed a contract which would make a lawsuit null and void.
