Former House Speaker and presidential candidate Newt Gingrich is heading back to television, this time joining CNN for the network’s revived Crossfire.

CNN announced the return of the political debate show, confirming that Gingrich and conservative columnist S.E. Cupp will represent the right. Stephanie Cutter, who worked on President Obama’s successful 2012 campaign, and Rebuild the Dream founder and author Van Jones will represent the left.

All four hosts have also agreed to appear throughout CNN’s other programming as analysts for political events..

“Few programs in the history of CNN have had the kind of impact on political discourse that Crossfire did – it was a terrific program then, and we believe the time is right to bring it back and do it again,” Jeff Zucker, the new president of CNN Worldwide, said in a statement. “We look forward to the opportunity to host passionate conversation from all sides of the political spectrum. Crossfire will be the forum where America holds its great debates.

Crossfire originally ran from 1995 to 2006 and featured Pat Robertson and Tom Braden as the first hosts. Its return is the latest change for CNN under Zucker’s leadership. EArlier this month, the new morning show New Day premiered. It is anchored by Chris Cuomo, Kate Bolduan and Michaela Pereira.
