Co-stars of James Gandolfini share their condolences to his family and express their grief over the loss of the great actor.
Edie Falco, Gandolfini’s on-screen wife in The Sopranos released the following statement to UsMagazine about the late actor: I am shocked and devastated by Jim’s passing. He was a man of tremendous depth and sensitivity, with a kindness and generosity beyond words. I consider myself very lucky to have spent 10 years as his close colleague. My heart goes out to his family. As those of us in his pretend one hold on to the memories of our intense and beautiful time together. The love between Tony and Carmela was one of the greatest I’ve ever known.
The 51-year-old passed away while vacationing in Italy with his family Wednesday June 19. ABC news reported that his son Michael, 13 found him in cardiac distress and called the hotel reception desk for help. Unfortunately, Gandolfini did not survive the cardiac episode. Co-stars of the actor expressed their grief when news broke of the actors passing.
So sad to lose James Gandolfini. One of the sweetest, funniest, most generous actors I’ve ever worked with. Sending prayers to his family.
