Ellen Page talks about video game character looking like her, says it's 'not appreciated'

Actress Ellen Page says Sony and Naughty Dog's The Last Of Us video game has stolen her likeness and she’s not happy about it, especially since she’s worked on a different video game called Beyond: Two Souls.

On Reddit, the Juno star responded to users pointing out the 14-year-old star of the video game, Ellie, looks strikingly similar to her.

"I guess I should be flattered that they [Naughty Dog] ripped off my likeness," she wrote. "But I am actually acting in a video game called Beyond: Two Souls, so it was not appreciated."

Last year, Naughty Dog told Eurogamer that the similarities between Ellie and Page were a "complete coincidence.” If anything, the character was tailored to be more like actress Ashley Johnson, who did the voiceover work.

Creative director Neil Druckmann tweeted about Johnson, "Ellie from The Last of Us was perfectly played by @TheVulcanSalute. No one could've done a better job."
