Rapper Eminem opens up about battling drug addiction in a new documentary chronicling the lucrative drug industry.

How to Make Money Selling Drugs, a film produced by Bert Marcus and Entourage’s Adrian Grenier, includes an all-star cast of advocates from both sides of the industry.

“When I took my first Vicodin, it was like this feeling of ‘Ahh,’” the blonde rapper said. “Like everything was not only mellow, but [I] didn’t feel any pain…I just remember liking it more and more.” Not until he mixed pills and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition did he realize he had a problem. “My organs were shutting down. My liver, kidneys, everything.”

“Had I got to the hospital about two hours later, I would have died.”

Other big names featured in the film include rapper 50 Cent and Def Jam co-founder Russell Simmons, as well as Woody Harrelson, Susan Sarandon and rapper Rick Ross. Director Matthew Cooke told Maxim.com “It wasn’t just random people, the celebrities were also picked because they have an invested interest in talking about [the issues] they brought to the screen.”

“I think everyone in the film who participated was the best representative we could find to speak to a particular aspect of this very complex and deeply relevant, moving issue.”
