Emma Watson might play Bling Ring member Alexis Neiers in Sofia Soppola’s movie of the same name, but she couldn’t be more different from the former Pretty Wild star or one of the celebrities she stole from, Paris Hilton.
While promoting the film, out in theaters now, Watson discussed the celebrity culture of having a massive closet with multiple pairs of shoes, while admitting that she only owns eight pairs of shoes.
"She could never wear all of those clothes and half of them were brand new and still had the price tag on. But I suppose she just bought them to have them,” the former Harry Potter star said of Hilton’s closet, which was featured in the film.
“We've all bought things on impulse but that's an entirely different thing ... It's almost like consumerism as a form of kleptomania."
Watson stated, "I've got about eight pairs of shoes and that's it,” NY Mag reports.
In a spread for Elle magazine, Hilton herself even said “There's much more to life than all of these possessions and everything. And if you want those things, you're going to have to work yourself, just like I did.”
