The recently-released fourth season of cult sitcom Arrested Development has been more confusing than most, focusing on one character per episode instead of the usual chronological order of previous seasons. Viewers found the frequent flashbacks, flash forwards, and perspective changes disorienting.

In light of this, reddit user mophinapg reedited the final season into a less confusing chronological sequence.

Mophinapg’s edited version consists of 12 episodes, rather than the original 15, according to the International Business Times.

Though Arrested Development’s very loyal fandom could hardly criticize the recent Netflix addition, the format of the fourth season has received some semi-harsh responses from critics.

Mophinapg focused on separating the storylines, according to Digital Trends, and even cut narration and changed opening credits.

“I did as much as I could to make these feel like real episodes. I made sure to separate the episode by storylines, rather than looking for specific times,” mophinapg writes on the reddit post. “I also included the opening theme, which I modified myself, and also the ‘on the next Arrested Development’ [segment] as well as the credits (although the credits for episodes 1-11 are just a repeat of S04E01′s credits).”

In a comment, mophinapg suggested the viewers watch the season as Netflix edited it, and then watch his version in order to understand it better.

Responses have been generally positive: his edited version currently has an 84% approval rating.
