According to USNews in the past five years, Greek yogurt sales nationwide have skyrocketed, likely because it satisfies consumers' needs for health, convenience, and taste, according to Nielsen, a global marketing and advertising research company.
Not only is it a delicious treat, it also comes in various flavors like plain, vanilla, bloody orange, strawberry, banana, amongst others.
There are a variety of brands that produce Greek yogurt, like Dannon, Chobani, Light & Fit, FAGE, Oikos, just to name a few.
FoxNews says according to the consumer market research group Packaged Facts, Greek yogurt’s share of the refrigerated yogurt market has risen to 35 percent, up from a measly 1 percent in 2007.
Going Greek is the smart choice, since it contains calcium and has good bacteria.
It's yummy and can be added to any recipe. Quite often, people have replaced mayo with Greek yogurt instead to save on calories!
