A judge has ordered an investigation into Paris Jackson’s well-being following the 15-year-old’s suicide attempt earlier this week.
The only daughter of the late prince of pop Michael Jackson, was rushed to the hospital early Wednesday (June 5) morning after reportedly overdosing on pills and cutting her wrists.
"There have been communications between the court and counsel and we're completely supportive of the court's actions," Katherine Jackson's attorney, Perry Sanders Jr., said Friday, Fox News reports.
A similar investigation was ordered last year after Katherine Jackson, guardian to Paris and her two brothers, became difficult to reach. A second guardian, T.J. Jackson, was appointed to help the Jackson family matriarch watch over the three children.
"This is standard protocol in a high profile case," his attorney Charles Shultz wrote in an email. "The court is doing what we fully expected the court to do."
While there is little information about the teenager’s health, reports from sources close to the family say she is “physically fine” and “receiving the appropriate medical attention,” according to The Daily Mail .
