Sak’s Fifth Avenue and the Entertainment Industry Foundation have selected Jennifer Aniston as this year’s spokesperson for their combined charitable efforts.
According to Women’s Wear Daily the image of Aniston in this year’s shirt design will be displayed throughout fashion and lifestyle magazines September through October. She tells the mag “My hope is that everyone will contribute to this worthy cause by purchasing a Key to the Cure T-shirt designed by Emilio Pucci.”
The limited-release shirt will retail for $35 at Saks Fifth Ave Stores, Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th stores, and online at saks.com as of October 1, according to Yahoo. All proceeds will go to EIF’s Women’s Cancer Research Fund working to find new detection methods, improved forms of treatment, and a cure in the near future.
The limited edition tee was designed by Emilio Pucci’s Peter Dundas says “I think every living person has been touched by this disease through the illness or even the loss of a friend or family member. I have. It would seem that in 2013 this would no longer be a worry, but it very much is so. The fight continues.”
As TheCelebrityCafe.com reports, Aniston and fiancé Justin Thoreux have postponed their wedding date due to their busy schedules. However, her engagement ring is plain in site in the national public service photo.
The 43-year-old is already a spokesperson for St.Judes Children’s Hospital and the Stand Up to Cancer Foundation. Former EIF ambassadors include Penélope Cruz, Jennifer Hudson and Uma Thurman.
