A Lifetime movie is already being made, based on the widely covered murder trial surrounding Jodi Arias. However, the film won’t be about the trial, rather the events leading up to it.

The movie is titled Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret, and it will air on Saturday.

According to Huffington Post, screenwriters Richard Blaney and Gregory Small co-wrote it.

Blaney told AZ Central about the project, “This project was in the works over a year ago. This thing didn’t move as fast as everyone thinks. We completed the script in December.”

The trial involving Arias killing her lover, Travis Alexander, caught a lot more media attention than Blaney and Small expected. “Once the trial kicked into gear, we didn’t anticipate it was going to grab the nation as much as it did,” said Small. “That’s when the heat first got turned up a bit.”

Lost actress Tania Raymonde plays Arias, and she said the role “was a huge challenge.”

Since they started filming while the trial was going on, Raymonde said, “We were filming a person’s life story that hasn’t been fully written yet. However, I had a couple strong initial feelings about Jodi that I kept close to my heart because I trust my intuition. As an actor, that’s all you’ve got.”
