Johnny Depp is giving some more insight into his split from Vanessa Paradis, who he was with for 14 years before calling it quits last summer and moving on with actress Amber Heard.
The Lone Ranger star was asked if he would ever do a film with Paradis, the mother of his children, and he said he would have no issue with it.
He told The Daily Mirror they’re on “great terms” although it was a “bumpy ride” at first.
“I wouldn’t see any weirdness at all in making a film with Vanessa now, whereas before I might have done. We’re on great terms and there’s nothing weird or strange. It’s very normal. She’s a great mommy and a great woman,” he explained.
“If you love, you have to love beyond what you think is love. When the s*** hits the fan you have to keep loving. I know it sounds like some sort of Hallmark card, and I don’t mean it to, but you cannot abandon ship, you know. You’ve got a couple of kids and a woman who’s been good to you. So keep loving, no matter what.”
Depp, 50, and Paradis have two children; Lily-Rose, 14, and Jack, 11. He is now dating his The Rum Diaries co-star Heard, 27, Houston Chronicle reports.
