Joshua Jackson doesn’t want to wait for his life to be over! After dating Diane Kruger for seven years - which is longer than the average Hollywood marriage - you would think the recently 35-year-old actor would be ready to settle down with his lady.
Kruger stated before that she doesn’t believe in marriage. Previously married to French actor/director Guillaume Canet for seven years, she told Glamour in 2011, “Without sounding pessimistic, I learned that I don’t believe in marriage. I believe in a commitment that you make in your heart. There’s no paper that will make you stay.”
Lucky for Kruger, Jackson wasn’t gung-ho on rushing down the aisle either. In June 2012, he told US Weekly, “Marriage is important for the people it’s important for, but neither one of us is particularly religious, so I don’t think there’s any particular push.”
However, a source close to Kruger and Jackson recently revealed to US Weekly that the couple is very close to getting engaged and that Jackson will propose this summer.
So why the change in heart? If seven years of dating someone in Hollywood wasn’t a convincing enough factor, some also point to Kruger’s recent pictures that may be a baby bump, but nothing has been confirmed.
