After being abandoned at an airport by his famous owner, Justin Bieber, a little capuchin monkey named Mally has settled in at the Serengeti Wildlife Park in Hodenhagen, Germany.

Back in March, Bieber attempted to smuggle the 23-week-old monkey past airport security in Germany without any vaccination or import papers.

Mally was immediately confiscated by officials, but Bieber was given ample time to acquire proper documentation to get the monkey back.

Last month, we followed up on the story, reporting that Bieber missed the deadline of May 17 to regain ownership of Mally.

The monkey remained in an animal shelter in Munich until a few days ago when Mally found a new home at the Serengeti-Park in Hodenhagen, Germany.

According to the zoo’s managing director, Dr. Fabrizio Sepe, Mally is settling nicely in the capuchin monkey enclosure.

Dr. Sepe said, “He came out [of the transport box] straight away and jumped onto the carer’s head and was immediately curious about everything.”

Mally is set to join a family of six other capuchins after a mandatory 25-day quarantine.

Bieber is still keeping quiet on the whole ordeal, but Dr. Sepe says the pop star is more than welcome to visit Mally at his new home in the wildlife park.
