Kanye West has denied a tabloid report that he cheated on Kim Kardashian with a model who bares a slight resemblance to the reality TV star.
As we reported earlier Wednesday, Star Magazine claims in its latest issue that West had an affair with French Canadian model Leyla Ghobadi, 24. She told the tabloid that she began seeing West on July 6, 2012 when he told his security team to pull her out of a crowd attending his concert. They only met twice after that, including one meeting after Kardashian became pregnant.
She believes that West’s relationship with the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star is “nothing serious” and just a publicity stunt to “increase his fan base.”
The magazine also published a photo of West with Ghobadi, who also claims that West tried to meet with her as recently as last week.
In a statement to TMZ, West’s rep debunked the entire story.
“This most recent attack on Kanye West and his family is totally without merit. It's a blatant attempt by a misguided individual who is clearly seeking publicity, and another in a series of malicious stories drummed up by non-credible 'news' sources,” the statement reads. “This is a sad attempt to hurt two people trying to live their lives.”
For the record, on the date that Star Magazine mentions, West performed in Atlantic City.
