Kanye West’s new album Yeezus has been widely talked about since its release yesterday, especially considering he has just welcomed his first child with girlfriend Kim Kardashian.
There’s a line in one of his songs, “On Sight,” that jokes about Parkinson’s disease which is coming under fire the American Parkinson Disease Association.
Vice President Kathryn Whitford told TMZ, "We find these lyrics distasteful and the product of obvious ignorance."
"A monster about to come alive again / Soon as I pull up and park the Benz / We get this bitch shaking like Parkinson's,” the line in question says.
This isn’t the only organization who has criticized West for his lyrics. He has also angered PETA in the past, rapping to them that his “mink is draggin’ on the floor.”
HipHopDX notes PETA's senior vice president Dan Mathews responded, “What’s draggin’ on the floor is Kanye’s reputation as a man with no empathy for animals or human beings. He’s a great musician but doesn’t seem to have the fashion sense to design anything more than caveman costumes."
