Kelly Rowland revealed a lot about her relationship with Beyonce in her new song “Dirty Laundry,” but she’s also opening up about it in a new interview.

The new X Factor judge shot down rumors of any feud with the “Grown Woman” singer, saying “it’s sad” that people want to take it there. She also says their friendship is stronger than it’s ever been.

"I think the people wanted those stories for years and that's just so sad on them because it's not like that," she told Omg! Insider.

She said about playing the song for Beyonce for the first time, "She looked at me and said it's incredible. And said how proud she was of me and then said I never left. And I just oh, man. It was so true she never left. I checked out for a minute.”

"I love my sister, and she is so incredibly supportive — one of the closest people to me," she said, tearing up. "I love her to death, and I love being an aunt [to B's daughter, Blue Ivy],” MTV News reports.

“I'm so grateful for her (Beyoncé), for Michelle, for Angie, for Solange, for my mama T[ina Knowles], for my mother, for being incredible women in my life and always lifting me up,” she continued.

The lyrics that sparked the discussion are, “While my sister was on stage … I was enraged … Went out separate ways, but I was happy she was killing it … Bittersweet, she was up, I was down."

Talk a Good Game comes out June 18.
