Khloe Kardashian Odom was fired from her co-hosting job for The X Factor, and she opened up about it during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. While her co-host, Mario Lopez, will be hosting alone for the next season, Kardashian is chalking it up to a “great experience” and moving on.

“I’ve never hosted anything in my life," she said of the gig, The Huffington Post reports. "So, to go from nothing to being thrown into live TV, it was really hard.”

She wasn’t used to the formalities of live television, like producers counting down in her earpiece. She called that aspect of it "pretty annoying.”

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star even said she didn’t hear from Simon Cowell herself, the deal was done through their agents.

Fox announced she would not be back for another season back in April.

Cowell said of Lopez in a statement at the time, “I’m thrilled Mario is back for Season Three of The X Factor. Hosting a live show and keeping the judges – especially Demi – in line, is not an easy job, but Mario is a pro and we are glad he’s coming back.”

The network said of Kardashian, “We really enjoyed working with her and wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”
