First Grumpy Cat and now Lil Bub. Hollywood is looking to take advantage of our love of cats by giving Lil Bub her own talk show. Yes, the Discovery Communications-owned Revision3 is giving a cat a talk show.

According to The Wrap, Lil Bub and owner Mike Bridavsky have agreed to work with Revision3 on a talk show that will launch in August. In the first show, Bub will interview people using Skype at movie premieres and parks.

Deadline reports that Bub, who celebrated his second birthday on Friday, is a viral sensation on Tumblr, Instagram and is the subject of a book coming out in the fall. Bridavsky and Bub also took a tour of the country in Lil Bub & Friendz, a documentary shown at the Tribeca Film Festival.

“We’ve been watching Bub explode as an online personality and talking to her team about a new concept and a channel around Bub,” Ryan Vance, Revision3’s SVP of programming, told The Wrap on Thursday. “The channel on YouTube will be expanded with a ton more content we’ll co-produce.”

The YouTube channel shows Lil Bub growing up, climbing on his owners furniture and doing other incredibly cute things. A total of 25 videos with the cat have been posted online.

Lil Bub’s bigger chance at stardom comes after the news that a Grumpy Cat movie is in the works.
