Lindsay Lohan is out of the Betty Ford Clinic, but she still has nearly two months left of court-mandated rehab time. Now the press is learning more about why the switch to the Cliffside facility in Malibu was made.

Lohans’ departure from Betty Ford was made public on Wednesday, right after she left and already got settled in Cliffside. While it was reported that the prosecutor, her attorneys and the judge all signed off on the switch, none made a statement on why it happened.

Then, Michael Lohan spoke with the New York Daily News, saying that there was a drug problem running wild throughout Betty Ford and that Lohan needed to get out of there.

“There are drugs all over the place inside there,” Michael said. “It was a big problem and that’s why she wanted out.”

He said that his daughter did not use the drugs and she “didn’t want to be around it and immediately asked for a transfer.”

A source for Fox News made similar statements, saying that Lohan “heard what was going on and was really upset by it and wanted to get out. She’s been doing really well detoxing and didn’t want to be around the temptation of more drugs… Lindsay also wanted to be at a place where she would receive more one-on-one treatment time.”

Fox News reported that the drug was Oxycontin. An upset mother spoke with Fox, revealing that her daughter was also transferred after she was given a mysterious drug.

Still, another source for Fox News claimed what TMZ had initially reported. That is that Betty Ford is better for 30-day programs and after Lohan completed her first 30 days, it “starts getting repetitive.”

Shawn Holley, Lohan's attorney, didn't comment on the Fox News report.

Lohan’s 90-day rehab sentence is part of her plea deal for her car crash last summer.
