US skiing champ Lindsey Vonn had her evening at the Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards interrupted by the US Doping Agency, who were waiting outside of the venue to test her.
New York Post's Page Six reports that the blonde beauty was escorted to the bathroom in her custom made Cynthia Rowley white couture gown to submit a urine sample. She reportedly got the call while sitting among some of fashions most elite.
Vonn is currently in training for the 2014 Winter Olympics, hense the call from the IOC.
“Lindsay met the IOC at the bathroom. Cynthia stood guard outside, and no one was allowed to enter the bathroom. They were in there for about five minutes,” a source tells Page Six.
Following the test, which Vonn passed, was reportedly told to enjoy herself. Page Six notes that Vonn did not seem miffed about the random drug test, boasting to the news outlet that she was having a “wonderful time.”
“All elite athletes in all sports are always on call for testing 24/7/365. Testing can and does occur at any time. Athletes are required to report their whereabouts at all times,” explained Tom Kelly, from the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association.
The 28-year-old athlete is currently dating golf pro Tiger Woods. Vonn confirmed their relationship in a Facebook post back in March. She explained to Page Six that Woods is supporting her while she gets back in to shape to compete next year.
