Neil Patrick Harris hosted the Tony Awards Sunday Night and after what is being reviewed as a stellar job hosting, the How I Met Your Mother actor is now being accused of dropping the “n-word” during his performance with Mike Tyson by TMZ and Daily Mail to which the actor is now blasting.
Harris opened the awards ceremony in a song and dance alongside Tyson, TMZ reports.
“We're going bigger," Tyson sang to which Harris followed 10 seconds later repeating the phrase which TMZ accuses sounds similar to the ‘n- word.’
Daily Mail reports that in the 8 minute opening Tyson and Harris song, “'In tandem like we planned 'em, forgive me if it's random but Mike Tyson had a one man show let's give the man a hand.
'And make things bigger, like bigger, I'm here with Iron Mike Tyson he's a heavyweight yo, We're going bigger, is I his n***a'.”
Now the award winning actor is slamming reports, most notably Daily Mail, on Twitter.
“Really, Daily Mail?!? The N-word? That’s your story?!? I would NEVER be so disrespectful and frankly, neither should you,” he tweeted Monday.
