After Nik Wallenda, the daredevil tightrope walker who crossed a section of the Grand Canyon on Sunday night, revealed that he wore Buffalo Jeans during the event, the brand made sure to thank him with a lifetime supply of jeans.
According to E! News, Wallenda spoke with 95.5 WPLJ in New York. He revealed, “I was wearing Buffalo Jeans which is my favorite brand of jeans.”
Wallenda added, “They are very, very comfortable and they are just perfect for walking the wire.”
Now, TMZ is reporting that Buffalo Jeans posted a giant billboard in Times Square thanking him for wearing their jeans during the tightrope walk. “We know we have brand loyalists but this takes it to a whole new level -- literally,” a rep for the company told the site.
Buffalo Jeans will also Wallenda, his wife and their children a lifetime supply of their products.
Meanwhile, Wallenda is still working on what will be his next big tightrope walk. He was hoping to walk between the Chrysler and Empire State Buildings in New York City, but the police commissioner vetoed that idea out of concern for the people on the street.
“I would never do anything to put people in danger and wouldn’t do a walk without proper permission and permits, but it’s a dream of mine I hope to make happen,” Wallenda told Today.
