Halle Berry’s fiancé, Olivier Martinez, has confirmed that the couple is expecting a baby boy. On Wednesday, the actor let the gender slip at the Champs-Elysées Film Festival, where he is the honorary president this year.

Giving Berry’s daughter, Nahla, a baby brother, Martinez told People, “My son will be an American, but I remain French.”

“I’m French — it’s less important,” he said of the press in his home country. “Meaning, I remain a Frenchman in America, but I adapt to American culture. I feel good there — but I’m still a foreigner.” He noted again, “My son will be an American.”

Berry, 46, will give birth to the couple’s son sometime this fall, CBS News reports. They got engaged last year.

Berry has called getting pregnant again a “miracle,” noting "[Nahla's] really happy. Not long ago she asked God for a little sister, but I tried not to get her hopes up. At 46, I didn't know if I'd be able to get pregnant again. Olivier and I have always wanted to be parents. But I didn't want to get my hopes up ... God made the dream come true. This pregnancy is like a miracle for me, an amazing gift, because this child was as wished for as it was expected. It's like a renewal of life ... Good things happen too.”
