Wednesday, June 5th, Paris Jackson was rushed to the hospital. Cops have officially confirmed that the reason behind the emergency was due to a suicide attempt, but that the attempt was more for a cry for help rather than to actually kill herself.
According to USA Today Paris called a suicide hotline after taking a dozen Motrin and cutting her arm with a meat cleaver. Paris received numerous stitches for the wound she inflicted upon herself and that she was placed under 72 hour watch at a psychiatric ward. Numerous reports have been made that the 15 year-old is doing well physically and that the family is asking for their privacy.
The most bizarre part of this whole ordeal is the message that Dr. Conrad Murray sent to Paris telling her that she is not alone. According to TMZ, Murray, who was charged with the “involuntary manslaughter” of Michael Jackson, called Paris on a payphone, quoting lyrics from Jackson’s “You Are Not Alone” and the infamous “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” to comfort Paris in her dark time.
Hopefully Paris gets the help she needs and realizes, much like Murray stated, that she is not alone.
