Paris Jackson, the 15-year-old daughter of the late Michael Jackson, has been rushed to the hospital following a suicide attempt, her mother Debbie Rowe confirmed.
Rowe confirmed with Entertainment Tonight that Paris was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital, where she is currently being treated. She told the site that Paris has had “a lot going on [lately].”
TMZ reported that she was taken out of her home on a stretcher at 2 a.m. this morning after police received a 911 call at 1:27 a.m. Whoever called reportedly told the responders that it might have been an overdose, but a source told the site that she was being treated for cuts on her wrists.
A source close to Paris later told TMZ that she “tried this [a possible suicide attempt] in the past" but "this was far more serious. It was not a cry for help."
Paris hasn’t tweeted in 10 hours. On Tuesday, she wrote, “You say i need therapy , well , my darling , so do you . don't need for you to tell me what is wrong in all i say or do.”
Her latest tweets have read, “i wonder why tears are salty” and “Yesterday , all my troubles seemed so far away now it looks as though they're here to stay.” That last tweet was a quote from the Beatles song “Yesterday.”
This summer marks the fourth anniversary of her father’s death and the Jackson family is currently embroiled in a wrongful death suit against AEG.
