Paris Jackson remains in the hospital under close watch by doctors following her suicide attempt last week. And while it remains unclear why the 15-year-old attempted to take her own life, reports suggest that she was the victim of Internet bullies.
Mirror.co reports that Jackson was victimized online after the lawsuit against her father’s concert promoter AEG gained momentum. Former So You Think You Can Dance choreographer Wade Robson came forward stating that the late Michael Jackson was “pedophile” and a “child sexual abuser,” accusing him of forcing sexual acts on him between the ages of 7 and 14.
Mirror suggests that Internet bullies are using the allegations against Michael to taunt Paris.
“In her mind Paris thought that by trying to kill herself as a cry for help it would bring an end to the court proceedings,” a source close to the family explains. “It was her last desperate attempt to try and stop the legal action.”
“It is not that she thinks the promoters are in the clear and have done nothing wrong but she thinks the case will do more damage than good,” the source continues. “She has had some horrible bullying and she feared that it will get even worse with all the allegations set to come out in court.”
ET Online reported last week that Paris attempted to take her own life after she was told she could not attend a Marilyn Manson concert.
Paris’ Twitter account has been picked a part following the incident. Prior to attempting suicide she tweeted, “I wonder why tears are salty?” and “yesterday , all my troubles seemed so far away now it looks as though they're here to stay.”
