Following her firing from the Food Network, Paula Deen may see her time with QVC may be terminated as well.
The network has stated that they have “concerns [over] the unfortunate Paula Deen situation,” TMZ reports. “Please know that QVC does not tolerate discriminatory behavior.”Deen’s career began a downward spiral after last week’s reports of her use of the ’n-word’ surfaced following a lawsuit published by the National Enquirer. Deen defended her use of the slur saying she used it at “a time in American history which was quite different than today."
Despite her defense, the Food Network opted to not renew her contract.
Deen released a statement over the weekend thanking the network saying,“I have had the pleasure of being allowed into so many homes across the country and meeting people who have shared with me the most touching and personal stories.”
Still, her time with QVC remains in limbo. A rep for QVC notes, “We are closely monitoring these events and we are reviewing our business relationship with Ms. Deen. In the meantime, we have no immediate plans to have her appear on QVC."
