Well, that was a short break. Just months after leaving Fox News, former Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin is going back to the network.
Palin and the network parted ways in January. She had originally joined in 2010, but tension between her and network boss Roger Ailes had developed and reportedly reached a breaking point. As The Los Angeles Times notes, her contributions to the network had grown few and far between. A New York Magazine article claimed that Ailes privately called Palin “stupid.”
But according to The Associated Press, the two sides agreed to reunite and Palin will be back on Fox News starting Monday.
Palin left the Alaska Governor’s office shortly after she and John McCain lost to President Obama in the 2008 election. Since then, she has tried her hand at reality TV with Sarah Palin’s Alaska for TLC. While the show drew strong numbers for its premiere, it wasn’t renewed for a second season after its viewership dropped, notes the LA Times.
Despite being off Fox News these past few months, she’s stayed in the news, using her Twitter account to slam critics. On Wednesday, she took aim at Bill Maher for insulting her son Trig.
