It's official! After days of reports of heated arguments with Charlie Sheen, Lionsgate has confirmed Selma Blair will be exiting FX's Anger Management.
The studio said in a statement "We are confirming that Selma Blair will not be returning to Anger Management and we wish her the very best".
TMZ reported earlier in the week things had become tense between Sheen and Blair, who plays his therapist on the hit show, after she complained about the veteran actor's work ethic. Blair was allegedly frustrated with Sheen showing up late and unprepared. The series films two episodes per week and Sheen often has more than 40 pages of dialogue per script.
TMZ reported things had gotten so bad between the two Sheen had even allegedly threatened to depart the show if Blair returned to set.
Anger Management is currently in its second season, after receiving a 90 episode order from FX after a successful first season.
According to The Hollywood Reporter Blair’s departure will not effect production and they will be adding a new female series regular to the show’s remaining 60 episodes.
This is just the latest public feud the former Two And A Half Men star has had with a co-star. Sheen recently lashed out at Anger Management guest star Lindsay Lohan saying during her brief stint on the show she held the production “hostage” and delivered “half a show.”
No rumors yet on who Sheen’s next leading lady is. Who would you like to see on the show?
