Taylor Swift is receiving a lot of feedback on her outfit choices for the 2013 CMT Music Awards. While some media outlets are choosing to call Swift’s choice of a gold sparkled gown, boring, her outfit change later on in the night made up for any misconception that the country singer was in for a night of boring fashion.
To hit the red carpet, Swift wore a cream colored dress embellished with gold jewels. Her strapless dress is from the Elie Saab Spring 2013 RTW collection. The cut of the bottom of the dress made it extremely unique. While many go for straight or high, low cuts, Swifts dress hung lower at the two sides next to her legs and was cut short in the front and back. Swift paired her classic look with golden Jimmy Choo shoes and Neil Lane jewelry.
While some fans may be disappointed with Swift’s classic red carpet look, her outfit change before her performance was sure to catch fans off guard. To perform her track, “Red,” Swift transformed to become just that. She came out on stage in a flattering black body suit with a red skirt draped over it. The tight outfit gave Swift the edge that her red carpet look was missing, while her sweetheart neckline kept it classy.
