While a mother’s love seems like it would be ingrained, a father’s love is a different kind. In some ways, it could be argued that a mother loves her child simply because she carried them for nine months before birth. A father is not given the same nine month period to biologically start feeling love for their child.
Because of this, or other reasons, some fathers don’t quite step up to the plate--either they never show their child or children love, or they never quite give them the love they should.
