Last night, the Usher Team shook up things on The Voice.

While the final five contestants - Swon brothers forTeam Blake , Sasha Allen for Shakira, Danielle Bradbery for Team Blake, Amber Carrington for Team Adam, and Michelle Chamuel - battled it out, what critics are remembering is the stellar performance by Usher last night on The Voice, according to Hollywood Life.

Usher took the stage, put his shades on and broke out into song and dance, thrilling the audience. He sang his new song “Twisted,” and showed off the incredible dancing and singing skills he has been using to coach contestant Michelle Chamuel. His routine was filled with back up dancers, flirtatious moves, crazy footwork and two crowd-loving splits. His fellow coaches even jammed out.

The show featured the hometown visits of the final five, and of course the contestants’ performances. The competitors sung two songs last night, one picked out by their coach, and the other a personal pick dedicated to someone special. While the other contestants’ performances received praise as well, Chameul had the most consistently impressed reviews, according to Idolator.

Contestant Chamuel appropriately dedicated one of her songs - Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time” - to her coach Usher and received the highest praise of the night from judges.

“Usher, you have become like family to me, you are someone I look up to, someone who leads by example both on and off camera. You have allowed me to be who I am. Time after time you have been there for me, so this one is for you,” said Chamuel.

None of the coaches had anything negative to say and were simply blown away. Responses for her coach’ pick “Clarity” by Zedd included: “I don’t know what else I can say other than I love you,” from Adam, and “As an opposing team coach, you hope at some point somebody stumbles. But she never does,” from Blake.
For her dedicated song to Usher, Shakira responded “You are without a doubt one of my favorites in this competition. You are on a permanent crescendo.” Her coach looked thoughtfully at Chamuel and said, “Thank you so much for dedicating that song to me. My god, you’re the winner! You are medicine for the whole world.”
Despite what the panel of coaches think, it is America’s vote that will determine who stays and who goes. Tune in tonight to find out the tally of the votes, which two contestants will be going home, and which two will return for the season finale next week.
