Whether or not you enjoyed Miley Cyrus’s new video for her single “We Can’t Stop,” the Ying Yang Twins certainly loved it. In fact, they loved the Twerking-Queen so much that they wrote a song solely dedicated to her booty.
According to TMZ, Kaine and D-Roc of Ying Yang Twins say that their fans have been dying for some “authentic twerk music.” They decided that since Miley Cyrus has been showing the world “she is grown by twerking, we decided to give her a little help."
Miley Cyrus’s new music video has caused quite the stir with critics. Many reviews are upset with Miley for overstepping a cultural boundary and that twerking is not for white girls. Jezebel questions if the three black women who are seen twerking with Miley are her “friends” or if they’re just props for Miley to get “street credit.” Since when is popping your booty a crime? As a 20 year-old child star, Miley is doing just fine in comparison to other child stars such as Lindsay Lohan or Amanda Bynes. Questioning the reasoning behind her owning her body – which, if anyone has seen her in the hilarious Channing Tatum music video you’d notice that her body is in shape and healthy rather than sickly thin – is just pointless. If a girl’s gunna dance, a girl is gunna dance and having a song made especially for you by the Ying Yang Twins is just a bonus.
