In the latest episode from Pretty Little Liars“The Guilty Girl’s Handbook”
Hanna turns to the least expected person for help. With her mother being denied bail and is going to be transferred to another prison Hanna feels helpless and responsible. Hanna has decided to make up a lie that will make her guilty for Wilden’s murder. She turns to the pathological serial liar Mona. “Just tell the truth and everything will be alright” Mona told Hanna. That would be the best solution for the girls to come clean about ‘A’ and Wilden.

Even in the attempt to help Hanna, Mona is showing her how to be a believable liar. Mona is coaching Hanna to say it was self-defense and prepares her for the police interrogation. Caleb stops Hanna from making a huge mistake. In the end Mona goes to the police station and confesses to Wilden’s murder. Leaves you with the lingering question what is Mona’s motive? What will she want in the end?

Spencer: Spencer is back in detective mode in the episode which is amazing since she always finds pieces to the destructive puzzle. With her mom being Ashley’s lawyer all of Wilden’s files are at her house. Her mother’s new intern Beckett is sorting through the information and is distracted on the phone that Spencer, in true fashion, takes a folder. The folder Spencer steals is about the night Toby's mom died.

The notes are from interviewing Eddie Lamb indicating that she fell from (or jumped from or was thrown off of) the roof of Radley. It proves that is was not from the window in her room. Wilden being a crooked cop put in the official report that it was from the window. Spencer is trying to figure out who paid Wilden off or made him write that in the report. Eddie tells her to leave it alone, but reluctant to let it go she shares the information with her mother. As usual her mother dismisses the information and deems it “irrelevant.”

Emily: Emily and her mother are living in a motel until they damages on their house is fixed. We learn that the driver of the car that crashed into their house was never found and the car was stolen. Emily is forced to deal with trouble at home and finding a college to apply to. Ezra helps Emily and gives her pointers on what to say since she no longer is swimming. Emily finds herself being distracted with college applications and deciding she wants to be a part of Habitat for Humanity again in the summer. Emily is excited tells her mom about her plans. Her mom breaks down and Emily comforts her. If all goes well Emily will be in Nicaragua for the next 3 months.

Aria: Aria is on maternal overload as she worries about her brother Mike. He has been having trouble connecting with his teammates and enrolls in martial art classes. This sends a red flag to Aria and she reconnects with her former flame Jake. Jake tells her she has nothing to worry about and that he would keep and eye out on her brother. With going to Jake for help with Mike the chemistry between them ignites again. They even plan a movie date that they both seem eager about. Seems like Ezra isn’t coming back in the picture with Jake being around.

Hanna: Hanna has been torturing herself with the “what if’s” and doesn’t want to think about living with her dad. Not only does Hanna feel like an intruder with her own father but her wicked step mom and stepsister. Hanna misses her mom and is scared once her mom is denied bail. That is when her plan of confessing to Wilden’s murder comes to play.

Ashley is one step ahead of Hanna as she asks Caleb to watch over her. Ashley knows Hanna can make irrational decisions and is completely stubborn. In the end Hanna looks at Mona and is speechless with her actions. Mona gives Hanna an all-knowing smile and the blinds close as the interrogation begins.

The episode ends with ‘A’ using a power tool drilling holes. Makes you wonder what is ‘A’ up to now?
