One way to get your show extra attention is to feature nudity in the advertizing campaign and that’s exactly what Lifetime is doing with Project Runway. The show’s new season kicks off next week and to promote it, the network is using a steamy banner.

The banner features hosts Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn fully clothed, standing over the new season’s competitors, who are all in the nude. Klum is sitting on a throne in a queen outfit, with Gunn standing by her side with a cane in his hand. The models are all laid over the stairs and the floor, looking up at them.

According to E! News, the art was supposed to be featured on a billboard in Los Angeles, but officials nixed that plan.

Too Fab reports that Lifetime did create an image with the models at least wearing some underwear and that will run in Los Angeles instead.

The version with nudity is still set to appear in New York City. The New York Daily News reports that buses and billboards will start showing the poster today.

Lifetime didn’t comment on the poster situation, but the network certainly can’t complain about the extra publicity. The show’s 12th season kicks off on Thursday, July 18.
