What’s worse than a shark and a tornado? A sharknado, of course! The shark hits the fan in Sharknado, Syfy’s new original movie that’s premiering tonight.
Sharknado stars American Pie and Van Wilder actress Tara Reid, along with Alex Arleo, Justin Beahm, Neil H. Berkow and Aubrey Peeples. The film was produced by Asylum, the same studio that conceived ideas like 2-Headed Shark, Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus and Mega Shark vs Crocosaurus. In case you can’t tell, they have a thing for mixing sea creatures together and throwing them at humans.
In a scene posted on SyFy.com, a shark is thrown at one of our heroes by a tornado. He only has one obvious choice - throw a tank in the shark’s mouth and shoot at it (sounds awfully familiar...). The shark’s head blows up and the scene gives viewers a good idea what to expect.
According to The Los Angeles Times review, other great scenes we have in store have hammerheads being thrown in waves, Cassie Scerbo complaining about driving on the 405 and terrible CG tornadoes. That’s what the New York Daily News has called “wonderfully bad.” Sounds like great television!
Sharknado airs tonight at 9 p.m. Will you be watching?
