In this episode of Under the Dome, the Chester's Mill residents receive an unexpected visit from their loved ones on the other side. Meanwhile, the community braces for a threat from outside the Dome.

The episode begins with Joe and Norrie visiting an area of the dome covered with monarch butterflies. Then the two of them notice that army has returned and buses of civilians from the outside have come to visit the trapped townspeople. We see that Big Jim knows about Angie and he speaks to her but he keeps her captive in the bunker. The Reverend comes over to tell Big Jim that God calls Chester’s Mill Moab and God wants the town gone. However, in reality, the town will be attacked by the U.S. Government.

The buses brought the outsiders to the dome to say their final goodbyes. Barbie learns of this when, the entire town gathers at the bridge to meet their loved ones. While there, Barbie gets help reading lips from the radio engineer Dodee Weaver. The soldier outside tells Barbie that the U.S plans on launching something big at the dome.

Julia was hoping that Peter would be on the buses but she has given up hope on him. We learn that Linda is engaged to Rusty and that Freddie was his brother. She told him that Freddie was murdered by Paul. We also learn that Norrie’s real father is a deadbeat and her two moms lied to her about her origin.

Then Barbie informs Big Jim and Linda that the attack will at happen at 1:15. So Julia informs the townspeople to gather in the underground factory facility via airwaves. While Joe and Norrie are looking for Angie, Angie is freed and then recaptured by Junior when she returns to her home. The weapon crashes into the dome but nothing happens. However, everything around the dome is gone. Big Jim and the Reverend meet at the dome and Big Jim kills the Rev. by pushing his head to the dome and allowing his hearing aid to explode. Reverend has grown crazy over the season and Jim had enough.

This was the second best episode of the season. However, there is one problem that bothers me. Junior’s and Angie’s story line drags on. She has been in the bunker for five episodes now. When she is finally freed she ends up in Junior’s arms as if nothing has happened. That makes little to no sense. She does not hate him for it even though he took her like an object. We need to see more of Joe and Norrie to understand what is really going on and whether or not they can communicate with the dome.

Under the Dome airs on CBS.
