In this episode of Under the Dome, the town begins to run low on water. The residents of Chester’s Mill begin to fight for the remaining resources. Meanwhile, Julia discovers a strange connection that two of the town’s residents have with the dome.
The episode begins with the town members at an edge of the dome trying to figure out why the missile strike did not break through. The real issues of this episode starts with Norrie’s mom, Alice Calvert, begins to suffer symptoms from her diabetes. They decide to get in the car and head to the clinic but Alice feels a little dizzy and that prompts Carolyn to pull over.
As Alice shows signs of forgetfulness, she runs into the street. A truck almost run into her but it swerves and crashes into the town water tower causing the episode’s events. The town goes nuts because everyone believes that the town will run out of water. Barbie, Linda, and Junior are trying to keep riots at a minimum but their attempts are futile.
In this episode, Angie’s plot gets a decent conclusion. Angie escapes from Junior again. She runs around town until she ends up at Rose’s diner. She tells Rose everything that happened to her. Then two criminals come in and try to steal some meat for themselves. They end up killing Rose and trying to rape Angie. Barbie comes in and prevents anything from happening. He picks up Angie, who is unconscious at the moment, and hands her to Big Jim. As the riots continue to get worst, Linda becomes desperate. When she decides to draw her gun, it starts to rain. Big Jim shows up and tells everyone to gather some buckets. Later on Big Jim tells Angie that Junior will never touch her again and if she needs anything, he will give it to her.
The second plot revolves around Norrie, Joe, Julia, and Dodee. Julia and Dodee are searching for a signal that is blocking out communication and radio signals. They ride around town and find Norrie and Joe who is also looking for something: insulin. They take one jar from a young boy and they run into Julia. Dodee finds out that the two can communicated with the dome. Norrie and Joe touch the dome together and then the signal blocking communication stops.
This was the best episode of the season. Barbie’s true violent nature was showcased in this episode. Also, Norrie and Joe’s connection to the dome has been revealed to the biggest mouths in town. Finally, Angie’s story has an adequate ending. Under the Dome airs on CBS.
