Curtis Jackson, better known as Rapper 50 Cent, has addressed claims of physical assault and vandalism by his ex-girlfriend.
Charges against Jackson surfaced yesterday. His unidentified ex-girlfriend called the police to her Toluca Lake condo on June 23 claiming that Jackson kicked her and destroyed $7,100 worth of possessions. The rapper reportedly fled the scene before police got there.
Charges against him include one count of misdemeanor physical assault and four counts of misdemeanor vandalism.
Scott Leemon, Jackson’s attorney, has released a statement on behalf of his client to E! News saying, “Curtis Jackson denies these allegations as made against him. It is important to note, Mr. Jackson has not been arrested and there is no warrant outstanding for his arrest."
Continuing he notes, "We have been in contact with the L.A. City Attorney's Office and are currently conducting our own investigation into these allegations. Out of respect for the legal process, we will not be commenting any further at this time."
