Amanda Bynes has been quiet on Twitter for the past few days and recent events may explain why. The troubled star, now back in her homestate of California, has reportedly been hospitalized after starting a small fire and was also accused of trespassing at an old folks’ home.
Up first is the old folks’ home case. According to TMZ, Bynes showed up at a retirement home in Thousand Oaks, Calif., where she grew up. Management believed she was drunk and turned her away. They called a cab for her, but she said “Get me the f**k out of here ... I don't have any money!” So, the driver wouldn’t take her.
Then, police were called after Bynes started walking back to the home. According to Us Weekly, she was not arrested.
The cab driver later told TMZ that he overheard that Bynes was there to visit a relative.
TMZ is also reporting this morning that she has been hospitalized after police were called to a Thousand Oaks home where she allegedly started a small fire in the driveway. She is on a 5150 hold, so she’s under an involuntary mental evaluation and will be held for up to 72 hours. Police asked her a series of questions and determined that she needed to be hospitalized.
Bynes is usually very talkative on Twitter, but she hasn’t tweeted since July 19 when she wrote “drake is gorgeous.” On July 17, she wrote “surgery is my favorite topic.”
