At 8:30 this morning, July 26th, Amanda Bynes’s parents will appear in court in order to argue their case that their daughter is in serious danger of herself.

The She’s the Man star’s parents hope to obtain temporary conservatorship by arguing that Amanda doesn’t have the ability to provide for her own physical health, that she cannot make sound financial judgments and that her parents can provide a stable home for her according to TMZ.

The hope for a conservatorship came about when Amanda was hospitalized on a 5150 hold after she was caught seting a small fire to a Thousand Oaks home driveway, not far from where her parents reside. Amanda will not be charged for the crime considering that officials at the hospital she was being held at announced that Amanda may very well be suffering from schizophrenia.

This past year Amanda has been going through what appears to be a public meltdown, getting kicked out of the apartments and hotels she was temporarily residing at for her erratic behavior as well as drug use. Her parents hope that by obtaining conservatorship they will be able to help the young starlet before she does any damage to herself or others.
