Former Nickelodeon star Amanda Bynes appeared in court Tuesday on charges of throwing a bong out the window of her former New York City apartment. The 27-year-old arrived in court sporting a blue wig, sweat pants and a tank top.
Bynes was arrested back in May for evidence tampering and reckless endangerment. The controversial actress denied ever having a bong, claiming what she threw out the window was a vase.
Additionally, Bynes accused the arresting officers of sexual assault. At the time of her arrest she stated that the officer “slapped” her vagina.
According to TMZ , Bynes remained quiet during her appearance in court. She stood alongside lawyer Gerald Shargel during the appearance which lasted less than 20 minutes.
A judge ruled to move the case forward on August 26, with Bynes appearing back in court in late September.
The normally Twitter-happy starlet has not discussed her court appearance or blue hair with her followers. She has, however, discussed her desire for even more surgery on her nose.
